We offer Written Testing, Training & Oral/Practical Exams for applicants to obtain their Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics Certificate. We are located in Spring Texas twenty miles North of Houston.

AIRFRAME & POWERPLANT Certificate

To Qualify for testing the applicant must obtain two copies of the FAA form 8610-2 which states you meet all requirements to take the test and must be signed-off by a FAA Inspector. The two FAA Forms 8610-2 must have original signatures, PHOTO-COPIES ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!

WRITTEN TESTS

There are three written tests required to qualify for the A&P Certificate. They are General, Airframe, & Powerplant. If the applicant wishes to obtain only one certificate, Airframe or Powerplant, a general written test is required. For an added rating and the applicant possesses one of the certificates, Airframe or Powerplant, then a written test is required for the addition certificate applied for. Should the applicant fail the first test, they will be eligible for one retest at no additional cost.

TRAINING

We offer a one day classroom "refresher course" conducted by staff Instructors, which will cover all necessary areas of the A&P Test. If you fail any portion of the test, you are eligible for a one time review of the areas missed at no additional charge.

TESTING

We have two FAA Designated Mechanic Examiners (DME) on staff. The examiners will perform the Oral and Practical Test after which a Temporary A&P Certificate will be issued provided a passing score is obtained. In the case that a section is failed, we will retrain you in the subject area failed at no addition charge. FAA regulation states that an applicant who fails the O&P test must wait a period of no less than 30 days to be eligible to retake the test. If the applicant opts to take additional training covering the areas previously failed, the applicant will be able to re-test at an earlier date. We supply this training.

The time necessary to complete the full Airframe & Powerplant course is 7 working days. The fee for this course is $1000.00. Fees and course times are adjusted for the certificate desired.
